Learn about pharmacometrics and clinical pharmacology during your workout

I love to listen to podcasts while I am working out or going for a walk. However, I must admit that some of these podcasts are just a background conversation with nothing meaningful being said.

While scrolling through LinkedIn I was therefore pleasantly surprised to see a post from Nathan Teuscher showing that he started the Clinical Pharmacology podcast!

Nathan Teuscher is a familiar name in our field and you might know him from the numerous resources and blog posts explaining many PK/PD concepts such Understanding Steady State Pharmacokinetics and the difference between linear and log-linear AUC calculations among others. I actually met him once when I was a PhD candidate and participated in the ASCPT Pharmacometrics Skills Competition 2018 that he organized (in which our team ended as second place finishers…).

At this moment, the first initial episodes are launched and I can recommend this podcasts to everyone in the field of pharmacometrics. Whether you are starting in the field and want to get a basic understanding of what we are doing or whether you are a more experienced pharmaceutical scientist that wants to learn more about what those folks are doing when they are talking about NCA’s and pop PK. He provides an easy to understand and detailed podcast of the topics that we encounter on a daily basis and brings you up to date on the nuances that are involved in for example NCA’s or the interpretation of the Population PK FDA guidance.

Nathan Teuscher is currently an independent expert in pharmacometrics.
